The image you see at the top of the iMormon blog holds a special meaning to me for a couple of reasons.

I took this picture at the Mayan ruins in Tulúm, Mexico on the coast of the Yucatan. The picture reminds me of one of the most enjoyable weeks of my life. Sometimes, you really need a vacation… And LaRinda and I really needed that vacation. We enjoyed a week in the Caribbean with some of our absolute favorite people on earth and good friends. It was our first time on a cruise. My Heavenly Father’s existence was a no-brainer. It should come as no surprise that I did not hesitate to accept the scriptures’ testimony that Jesus of Nazareth is the literal Son of God the Father—my Heavenly Father. Not only did Christ acknowledge this paternal relationship several times by referring to His Father in his teachings and directing His prayers to His Father, but Heavenly Father bore witness of the Savior, claiming Jesus as His son, when Christ was baptized (Matthew 3:17) and again when the Lord was transfigured before Peter, James and John (Matthew 17:5).
